Need To Vent About INSENSITIVE Men!!! (LONG! SORRY!!!)
Ok, let me get this off my chest before I explode...
Some of you might have saw my little post earlier about the girl in my office and her need for a lawyer... Well thank you for all of the replies, she is going to start calling them in the morning.
Very quickly, a construction compnay truck doing the pavement on the city streets at JFK had pulled out a NO PARKING sign and threw it in the back of there pick up truck. The girl in my office walks outside and turns her head hits the pole which is hanging out ny 4 feet from the truck. She looks like a Unicorn, it is a raised bump about 1 inch high, quarter size in diameter.
So she comes in to the office, begins to cry hysterically and we call my boss (who never bothered to tell us that he wasn't coming in) and tell him. He shows no emotion. So she is still crying, feeling dizzy and I told her that she had no choice, we were calling an ambulance. She starts sobbing that our boss won't pay her. So I am like OH YES HE WILL!!!! I call him, and I said, 'You know that you have to pay her right? I mean, she was working when she got hurt..' he is like why, why was she downstairs? Is that part of her job, her job is to clear things through Customs, no one told her to go outside...![]()

Ok, so she shows back up here at 3.00-something~doctors note in hand, she has a mild concusion. REST REST REST She continues to work until 7:00 and tehn she leaves....Our boss has teh AUDACITY to call her at 6 and say (basically) thank you for coming back, I see that your job means alot to you. I decided that I am going to pay you for teh day...HELLO!!! PEOPLE!!!! How insensitive can some people be??????? I was in teh bathroom when this whole conversation transpired, so I come back in, and there she is all teary eyed and she repeats teh conversation....So when she leaves, he calls me...Says that by law he didn't have to pay her, she could have applied for workers comp, and he did her a favor. I BLEW UP!!! I reminded him that I am here at 9;00 at night ALONE in Springfield Gardens, NY doing my work which I couldn't get done because he hired otehr incompetent people to work under me and sorry, I work 8:30-5, 45 minutes for lunch, so, ummmmm, I could leave right now then and not really care beacsue IT'S NOT MY JOB TO CARE, IT'S NOT MY ASSIGNED HOURS!!!!!
