Need to vent quickly!

Ever since fh and i got engaged everyone has been offering us advice (advice we did not ask for) and it was nice at first...seeing how much everyone cared. But now it is really starting to get on my nerves a bit...i feel like EVERYONE has an 'opinion'(from my mother, to people who have noticed my e-ring on line while shopping in the mall!!!) and while i am happy to hear them all, some people just don't seem to understand why i may not take their advice! Everyone from both my side of the family and fh's wants to help in planning....and when i first got engaged it sounded great...but there are just too many conflicting views...too many people trying to push their 'opinions' on me and while i love them all dearly and appreciate where their 'help' is coming from...they are REALLY starting to drive me insane!!!!!

Well listen, my advice about their advice is

Just ignore them, that's what we do.

I do the same thing. I thank them for the advice and tell them I will look into it. But I really dont!! When the ask me again, I either tell them Im not up to that point or that I found something better. I've gotten to the point where I dont talk about the wedding with anyone else except my bridal party or here.

I agree, its annoying as hell!

Isn't it annoying! I find that I don't mind the advice - I mind when they then ask why you didn't take their advice! Um, who's wedding is it?!!?!??!

Exactly! I don't mind the advice, I like that so many people care enough to offer it...but that is it...they think they are offering it and all they are doing is pushing it on us. the last thing I want to do is hurt someone's feelings, but they are constantly checking up on our decisions and then second guessing them...again giving us reasons why they think their way is better! That is what I can't deal with!
