She is my bestest friend in the world and I love her to death and always will. Her life is nothing but pain and suffering and misery and sometimes it is SO hard to listen to her. I know I sound like a selfish witch right now, but I swear, nothing in her life is happy. And if anything good ever does happen, it is immediately followed by something bad. I am starting to wonder if she does not need to change a little bit. Typically, she is a fighter and never keeps her mouth shut about anything. She has lost so many jobs b/c of her personality, which is WRONG, and normally I'd never say someone should change who they are but she hasn't had steady work in a couple of years now... and she has her MSW!!! She has a job she loves now, but her supervisor hates her and is trying to sabotage her and push her out, so she is miserable at work. Now, she just called me hysterically crying that her doggie is being put to sleep in a few minutes. Due to all the probs she and FSIL have had, I am pretty sure she's not even 100% excited about my wedding b/c she is worried about drama. Her mom has a lot of health problems. She has gotten into more car accidents than anyone I know... the list just goes on and on. My therapist actually thinks that she does need to change a little, at least for the job aspect of things. I don't know anymore.. it's just killing me that this is the week of my wedding and there is a good chance she's going to be sitting there upset due to all the personal stuff going on in her life...
Thanks for reading... I just needed to vent...

Re: Need to vent re: MOH
Marisa, on August 22nd, the ONLY thing you need to do is be happy with your new DH! Not worry if she's unhappy about whatever. Do not worry about the drama that day, guaranteed nothing will happen.
You only have a few days left, just try to enjoy and relax!
All this planning will be over soon!! Then you are on to the HM!!!!!!!!!
Dont make her problems yours, dont think about them. Nothing you can do about them.

Marisa, I feel as though you have had a very tough month. Not sure what to say to you - I know you want to help your MOH but I don't think now is the time. It will only stress you out and you don't need any more of that. I would plan on scheduling some time with her after the wedding and just let her know you are concerned .... ?

I know you say she is your friend and I have read your other posts. Please try to forget about the drama between the girls and rememebr the day is about you & FH - if they can not get along it is their issue - enjoy everything else that day !!

I know. And I am in no way trying to make her problems my problems, I just worry about her a LOT. And it's funny, but whenever she calls me crying or so upset, I just have no desire to tell her anything going on in my life b/c I (rarely) have anything bad to say! Like what am I supposed to do, be like, 'Oh sorry your life ***** but I had a great day today and I did x, y, and z, blah blah blah' I just can't do it!
And I KNOW how FSIL is... I feel like if my MOH is sitting there looking sad, she's going to be nasty or take it personal, thinking she's sad b/c she doesn't want to be around her or something just as stupid. I am tempted to tell FH and warn him that she might look upset and to tell his sister to just leave it alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it is nice of you to be so concerned, however, it is up to her to want to change. And its her loss if she doesnt take steps to be happy and concentrate on you on your wedding day. However, since you seem to be sucha good friend, Im sure she is very excited for you and will enjoy the wedding. But you can't worry about that. You have to worry about enjoying the day yourself and marrying your Fh! Only a few more days!!!

Re: Need to vent re: MOH
I am sorry to hear about your MOH and I don't think you sound selfish.
It really does sound like your friend has to change. I am one to believe that things happen to us for a reason, but sometimes we put ourselves in situations that could have been avoided. Maybe she hasn't matured enough and/or is need of help . You can have a tough attitude and not be afraid to say what is your mind, but with that attitude there will always be consequences and we should all learn when and where to speak your mind and know your limits. She will never get ahead if she continues to have that kind of attitude. Maybe you should tell her to go try out your therapist.
Good Luck!

It's just really sad to me that she even HAS to change in order to keep a job. I am sorry but I know PLENTY of people who's personalities are way more difficult and way more b!itchy than hers is, and they don't have these problems keeping a job! It's just completely ridiculous!

You need to concentrate on you right now. You wedding is in a few days!! And regardless of all the drama, it will be perfect. Have a chat with her after the wedding. Enjoy your time
