Ok so we invited 260 people and so far 75 have responded yes.. and we are looking at barely making it over 100 guests.. something like 110 or so. So my mom might have to eat almost 50-60 seats. I'm so stress and aggivated. We are still missing over half of our responses and the rsvp date is this saturday. Plus some people who we thought were coming can't now. I'm just really tired of all this stress, I love FH so much and I want to marry him I just wish we hadnt gone this high scale cause i'm sooo tired of it.. the 2 1/2 yr engagement didn't help ... sorry girls just really aggrivated right now and have a huge headache.. did I mention many of the guests live in Florida on FH's side and prob arent coming cause it costs too much for air faire and hotel rooms - not that i blame them

Re: NEED TO VENT.. so stressed
I would call the Watermill and explain that due to unforeseen circumstances, you cannot meet your minimum and if there are any extras they might be able to throw in the day of the wedding so your mom doesn't as you say 'eat 50-60 seats' that's just not fair, I have heard of RH doing this so it's worth a shot...
your day will be beautful and in the long run, you will be happy that you decided on everything that you did!

Do not worry, it will all work out! If you do not get responses by Sat, start calling people

Re: NEED TO VENT.. so stressed
I haven't gotten to this point yet, so this isn't from experience, but I bet you get a bunch of responses as people realize the due date is here. And if you don't hear from them by Saturday, start calling and emailing. People don't mean to be rude, not all of them, anyway!, but a lot are just busy and forgetful and probably forgot to mail the RSVP and thought they'd tell you. But they haven't. I bet by next week after Monday's mail and you've made some calls you'll have a lot more 'yeses.'

I feel your pain. We had the same issue. We had a lot of people say they wanted to come, so we invited them, then they declined. We are not making our minimum either.

Re: NEED TO VENT.. so stressed
I am sorry to here about your stress. I have a feeling FH and I might be going through the same thing for our wedding. Everyone from FH side will be traveling in from Ohio and they don't understand the expense for flying or driving to NY. Many have said they are coming but I don't know if they actually will or not which will make it hard to meet the minimum in that event.

Absolutely! I'm waiting for responses too and one of my GFs who got married a few yrs ago told me that she got a whole bunch a week after the rsvp date cause people realized it passed and got their buts in gear! It will all come together!!!

Date twin, don't worry. I invited a little less than you (204) and I have about the same number of responses so far. Our RSVP date is this Friday and I'm sure I'm going to spend the next few weeks hunting peope down. I just found out today that one of my friends didn't get her invite b/c I had the wrong address for her. I say just wait until after your date and then start calling people. I know that I didn't even realize I received a friend's invite until about a day before the card was due. Some guests are rude, but many are absent-minded. It will be ok.

Re: NEED TO VENT.. so stressed
i think calling the RH is a good idea.... but also feel confident that most people will send their RSVPs after saturday.....i would also have my mom start calling people asking them to send it in.....good luck

Re: NEED TO VENT.. so stressed
Maybe when you call the remaining non-RSVPers, the yes rate will be better than you think!!! Think positive!!...... But....if you have to eat the costs, you should definitely get the food wrapped...and if you guys won't eat it, donate it to a shelter or something!

Re: NEED TO VENT.. so stressed
thanks for the support ladies... especially those of you that are in the same boat.. what gets me they are already addressed and stamped, they need to simply put their name on and check yes or no and send how difficult... LOL I had my dress fitting tonight and feel a little better about things... thanks for the kind words everyone

Wait till Saturday, and then start making the calls. The Watermill will probably throw in some extras-it doesn't hurt to ask.
