need ur opinion...take my poll

okay so instead of the traditional place cards my vision to is do sand dollars ( see pictures below) i want to do the writing but w/ a ribbon on the bottom,

the question is which to choose and style to do so

option 1:make individual little sand trays w/ just each persons name on it, and on the tray say table 1, and just for those that quickly forget maybe have a lil number on the back to remind them

option 2:or put them all in one big tray, and write everyones name and table number on them as well

But I think I know exactly what you're talking about lol...
I think I like option two better...you can make fancy little signs for each table number...smaller versions of the ones that are actually on the tables. LOL. I think that'll be real cute.

ETA again... LOL
The only thing with what I wrote above is it might be hard for the guests to all find their placecard...or whatever. LOL. At least if you have it all in on large tray you can put them in alphabetical order... LOL.

Sorry...guess I'm sorta changing my mind. OOPS. lol

Cute idea!! I would put them all on one tray in alphabetical order because

1. I hate fighting that zoo of 'what table am i at' people, especially when no one can find their names.

2. after a few coctails, I cant ever remember what table it said.

I like just having their names on it in a tray with the table number...if I went to a wedding where they did this I would totally turn that sand dollar with our names on it into a xmas ornament!!! GREAT IDEA!!!!

Maybe you can do the name on the sand dollar thing and have a nice loop that your guests can use to hang them when they get home...on that loop you can put a card that has the table number and a easier to read name...that way your guests can just take the little tag off and use the sand dollar as an ornament or whatever (I am hung up on the ornament if you can't tell!!)

Does this make sense???

I love 2, because it's almost like personalized for that person, and then at the end of the night, feels like a favor for them! love it!

Picture 1, sorry...I think writing on the actual sand dollar kind of mars it, but if you tied the tag on it like in picture 1, then the guest can actually use it for summer decor...I would at least.

I think option 1 is a good idea! What size box do you plan to use? I am doing something similar but with starfish. I was planning on just using 1 large wooden box with sand, but the individual table is a good idea!

not really sure on the size box, i guess it will depend on the amount of sand dollars i use lol...

i was gonna do the starfish idea, but found they break alot easier than the sand dollars
