Re: Need vacuum recomendations

I can tell you which ones NOT to get--never buy the 'Shark' from Linens n Things. I bought one, the motor broke the first time I used it, so I returned it. The second one burned out the second time I used it. Worst $100 I ever spent. I also got the Roomba as a gift--it works okay, but you really need to follow up with a 'real' vaccuum, especially to pick up pet hair. It's not awful, but not worth the money IMO.

Re: Need vacuum recomendations

They're kind of expensive... but Oreck's are the best! My mom's buying me one as part of our engagement gift - it's so sad that i'm getting excited over a vaccum

Re: Need vacuum recomendations

I have an oreck and I love it. It was expensive, but it came with the little vac that's great for picking up small things around the house. (Plus I got it as a gift, so I didn't pay the $$)
I've also heard that dyson makes a great vac. This week's kohl's circular has one on sale for $399, which is the cheapest I've seen it, and if you have a kohl's card, there's an extra 15% off.
