Need venue suggestions please!
Hi Girls,This group helped so much when I was getting married a few years ago, I figured you would be the best ladies to ask for help in planning my baby sisters wedding.
We are looking for a unique venue, most likely out east. They do not want a typical wedding venue feel. They so far are looking at ocean bleu, gurneys, Montauk yacht club and Raphael Vineyards.
Anyone have any suggestions? TIA!

I've been to a wedding at Martha Clara which was very cool. I've only ever been to the spa at gurneys but that was amazing!

I've heard gurneys is not doing financially well.. I'd suggest doing serious research before looking there. I know someone who got married at Raphael vineyards and her pics looked gorgeous :). Good luck!

We're getting married at the Sea Star Ballroom @ Atlantis in Riverhead--it is incredibly beautiful and from my experience in telling people where we booked not too many people have gone to weddings there yet since it was just built in 2012! Good luck to your sister!

Sole East!We would've done it but with the holiday weekend costs and stuff, it got too much.
But....OMG! Definitely original.

I wanted to visit this place, but the location was unreasonable for our guests. It's by lessing's I think, and from what I've heard, they're a great middle of the road caterer. Great value, and beautiful locations for price. I don't know how the food is.

We visited Giorgios on our venue tour. The view was absolutely gorgeous and the room was spectacular. We spent the day at Martha Clara a few weeks ago and they were setting up for a wedding. That looked gorgeous, too.
However, I heard vineyard weddings can be a lot of work and can get pricy. If it wasn't so far and if it wasn't so much planning/coordinating and $$$, I would have my wedding in a vineyard in a heartbeat.
