Need wedding theme ideas...

I need some wedding theme ideas for our wedding. It doesn't have to be something like a Beach theme or anything elaborate. It just seems like we are missing 'something'.

Here's the important:

VIP Country Club, New Rochelle, NY overlooking the Long Island sound

Sunday night formal wedding

Chocolate Brown / Hot Pink colors

Tables have a combination of high/low center pieces where the high center pieces have high cherry blossom in a large vase and the low center pieces have a combination of various white/pink roses and gerber daisys (Forite flower). The vases will have brown river rocks to bring in the chocolate brown along with the stems of the cherry blossoms

Other decorations will be rose petals on each table and several candles (either motive or pillar) all over the table.

Also, we will have some tables and such with multiple picture frames of us.

There will be pin point lighting on each table but the room will be more of a dark-lit room but with the candles.

I think something is missing. It's Memorial day so we were thinking something Spring. We are very pro NYC but not sure how that will work in. We debated having pearls added to each table as we both find pearls beautiful.

Ideas? Help.

I recently went to a NYC themed wedding and they had each table marked as a different landmark in the city. IE: I sat at Columbus circle.
They also had a photo shoot done of the two of them in central park and in front of the Empire State Building. The put the pictures up all around the room.
They event went as afar as having food that represented all different areas of NY cor their CH. They had China town station, a little Italy station and a street vendor station.

It was a really fun and cute wedding.

Really? It doesn't seem to be anything other than the typical center pieces and a table or two with various photographs of us to add some creativity.

I agree. If you really want to incorporate NYC maybe you could use photos as backgrounds on your table numbers. Unless there is something significant to you and your FH that you really want to add to create a theme though I wouldnt worry about it.

That sounds really nice. My fiance thought of having various places that mean something to us as the table names (Disney World, Cruises, Places we visited, Town we found our Puppy, etc) but I think it's a bit cheesy. We are Italian and plan to go to Italy for our honeymoon so I was thinking of various words in Italian referring to love.

We are going to meet up with Danny at Westchester Floral Design about some ideas.

Anyone got any other ideas? Starving here. :(

It sounds like you got everything set already and not 'missing' anything.
I'm having a theme wedding, and i thought of the theme before getting anything done, so i cant make all my CPs, drinks, etc match the theme.
(For me its Star Wars cause i'm a nut!!)

You dont want to go so crazy that the wedding is 'too busy'. Sometime we wants things to original and spectacular that it just looks like too much. It sounds like you have everything done already, just go with your colors and i think you will be fine
