I just found out that my third cousin who got engaged two months ago is thinking about having her wedding the month before mine. The problem this poses is that we would invite the same out of state guests and they would respond to her invitation before mine even comes and when they come to her wedding they are not going to plan another trip to NY for my wedding 25 days later.
So I need help, how do I do Save the Date cards???

First I think if you can you should talk to your cousin about the wedding.. That is if the two of you are close enough or if you feel comfortable enough.. If not I would just send out your STD's as soon as possible. And wait and see what happens...I am sure people are aware that you are getting married and hopefully most people are not that rude that they would attend one family function and not another that is just as equally important.

I can totally relate!..I don't know if you read by post back in August..but my cousin went and booked the wkend right before MY wedding!...
IMO- send out STD's ASAP...

You can either make them up on your computer, or order them from any invitation place. And good luck!!

I ordered mine from www.wedding-invitations-store.com - lots of choices and the best prices I saw online. They also came really fast. If I were you, I would send them out ASAP!!

Before I even finished your post I was thinking -- SAVE THE DATES! I didn't do them, but for this you have to.
A lot of people get elaborate, making them onthie computer iwth pics, & gettign or makign magnets. . etc.
I say just make up soemthing quick & mail themn out.
They dont' have to be great--just first . You can get perforated card stock & make up something in word a the very least. Do a search-- a lot of people on here have made or ordered STD's.
