need your help

need your help

my ceremony starts at 2:30 but i am hoping to start my reception around 5:30, what do i do with my guests? the church is only about 6 minutes away from the hall. The church and hall is out in long island and so they cant crash at anyone's house since family is not from the area. what to do?

ooh, that's tough - what time does your CH start and how long do you think the ceremony will last?

Are you doing hotel blocks? Your guests could go back to the hotel in the meantime. Does anyone live in the area that could open their homes for anyone else?

Also are you having a full mass or just a ceremony? A full mass will obviously take much longer.

If you're doing a hotel block, going there in between would probably be your best option. Do you have a relative in that area?

My ceremony is at 2:30 and my reception doesn't start until 6:30. I am not worrying about what my guests will do in the meantime... I can only convenience them so much. You can't do everything for them, people will have to deal.

I've been to wedding like that we actually went and hung out at a diner in between. Don't be too worried about it, they will figure something out...

I agree

i agree with this as well. my church is at 2 & my CH doesn't start until 7. the church & RH are very close to each other. people who live in the area can go home. my mom will have some people at her house in between.

i am honestly not worried about what everyone does. they are all adults and can figure it out on their own. when i mailed my STD i put that the church is at 2 & anyone whom i spoke to said they will be taking off to go to church & asked what time the CH starts. i was honest & said 7 & they all said that's fine.

no matter what everyone says the day is about u & FH. we have a gap because we want photos at the botanical gardens & in our minds the pictures will last forever. everyone will get over being inconvenienced eventually.
