Need your help in narrowing down venue visits! Please!!
Hello my friends! Can i just mention that I live on this website and would be lost w/out it!
I have a HUGE list of vendors to pick from. You ladies have been so helpful with giving the names and places to go visit. So far I have seen Med. Manor and Sunset Harbour. Both places were completly different. I love Med. Manor for its price. They are asking about 11,000 for 100 people and are including a ton of extras. However I do not love the way it looks. I really liked the look of Sunset Harbour and the pricing is not that bad (60-75pp depending on day) However, it does not include the extras that MM is giving me.
Here is my question: I need to pick some more vendors to go look at but in my price range/day.time of year/ etc. I really can only spend on my entire wedding 15,000. This includes dress, RH, etc. (I just might be wishing for a miracle) My guest list ranges from 100-130 so far. I would love to have my wedding over the summer and Thursday/Friday nights are ok Sat/Sun days are ok too. If I have to I can have it in Feb. or April (I have vacation those months from work). This means I am looking at spending 75pp tops! This is the wonderful list that was supplied to me by my wonderful friends on this website: *Arianna Waterfalls *Rivieria *The Metropolitian *Brentwood country club *Milleridge Carriage *Verdi's *Stewart Manor *Coral House *Cafe on the Green *The Sterling *Amborsia *La Piazza *Dominicos *Swan Club *Thatched Cottage *Douglaston Manor *Larkfield manor *Captain Bills *Manor East *Beach Club Estate *Rock Hill *Vanderbilt Mansion *Memorare *Crest Hollow *Chateau Briand *Chateau La Mer *Marconi Manor *Giorgio's *Fox Hollow *Westbury Manor *Miller Place Inn *Meadow Club *Leonards of Great Neck *Floral Terrace WOW that list is long. Please help me narrow it down. THANK YOU!!

Vanderbilt Mansion requires a hefty site fee.
Rock Hill is nice, but a little old.

our wedding was booked Nov 2006 so I don't know what increases they may have made but larkfield manor is wonderful. we had their Silver package so not top of line but that was incredible. oodles of food, so delicious and the people are so kind.
for sun evening of labor day weekend it was $75 _ tax/tip (so about $95) but if you look for afternoon or Thurs it might hit your price. I have a slideshow in my video lib if you want to see the place and its food etc.

if the price is still too high . . I hear stewart Thomas manor in Farmingdale is nice and price might be around $55-65pp.
as to dresses that you mentioned in a different post, Estelle's has some nice reasonable dresses maybe %500 -$900, so take a peek there.

I hear you on the budget...it's tough to do but if you really plan it out and stick to it, it'll all work out!
Try Westbury Manor out - we got a GREAT price for a Saturday day at the end of May.

Def try Larkfield Manor.... we are paying 80 pp + tax and grad about 95 pp for a Fri nite in July... they did have much cheaper for April I think in the 70s and thurs nite... not sure about the price
They were willing to work w/ us and our budget and even through in some extras...

I also agree with Larkfield Manor being a great choice if you are on a budget. We are getting a great deal on a Thursday Night in July. FM me for details. They also threw in extras for me. We are also on a budget and paying for the wedding ourselves. Its a beautiful place, the food is AMAZING, and the people are very very nice!!

If your considering a Thursday nite, almost all of those places should be able to work with you. Have you looked at their websites or brides reviews on these boards to see which ones appeal to you the most?

Is there a reason you aren't looking at the Woodbury Country Club? I would definetly check out a Thursday night there!

*The Metropolitan--with your amount of people, it's perfect. It's not your traditional catering venue but it's beautiful with this huge bar. The food is amazing--it used to be a top-notch restaurant that switched over to doing solely catering. Their prices are VERY reasonable too and right up your alley. *Milleridge--The carriage house will work for you guys and again, about your price range. *Stewar Manor--very reasonable, but the guarantee might be high. *Coral House--within the price range you're looking at definitely and they have an outdoor area that's wonderful. *Swan Club--beautiful grounds, but a little off the beaten path. They give competitive prices. *Douglaston Manor--right on the golf course, so you have access to it for pictures. They not only are priced reasonably and give you a lot, but they also will negotiate the price. *Crest Hollow--very affordable and always gives a great party. *Leonards of Great Neck--also very reasonable. *Brentwood CC--they actually have whole wedding packages that include flowers, photo/video and dj so you should check them out.
I suggest going and seeing as many RHs as you can/want--doing this will give you a nice range of prices and will allow you to be more competitive as far as negotiating is concerned. Since you have a maximum price you want to spend, that's a good benchmark. Many of the RHs you listed will work with you and if you do a Thursday, you'll get an even better deal.
