What about staying in a nice B&B. Or going to Atlantic City. Thats what I would do.

First few places that come to my mind are Boston, Washington DC, Vermont, Mystic in CT, and a lot of places in PA.

Get a cabin with a fireplace or something along those lines, and just curl up with some hot cocoa and your love!!!

What type of 'climate' would you like? If it's more snow than usual (which can be expected by the time you get married) I suggest Poconos or Vermont for some skiing.

If it's a BB you prefer - absolutely adorable places in CT and out East.

We have a similar problem - FH is an untenured teacher, and is not willing to take time off work. Our honeymoon has to wait until the week between Christmas and New Years.

We're getting married the night after Thanksgiving (Friday, 8pm-1am), spending the night at the Inn at Fox Hollow, then staying over in Manhattan Saturday night into Sunday. Then its back to work on Monday!

We're not really sure which hotel we'll stay in, but we chose NYC because there's so much to do at that time of year. We have plenty of time to worry about it!
