Need your help ladies. Your favorite cleaning products?
I'm so clueless!
We're moving into our new apartment this weekend and I wanted to pick up a few essentials. What kind of products do you use to clean your homes?
I need products for the bathroom and kitchen mostly.
So far on my list is windex. lol
Also, for those who have dishwashers, what is the best brand of dishwasher detergent?????

i LOVE clorox wipes and the clorox anywhere hard surface. for the bathroom i use the under the bowl gel cleaner and scrubbing bubbles scrub wand. i use whatever dishwashing detergent is on sale usually. in the tub/shower i use tilex mildew remover and tilex fresh shower and ajax. im a clean freak!

for the kitchen i use seventh generation cleaners. they are all natural. a little pricey but we have a cat who likes to lick everything so it works out good. i use their spray & dish soap. for the bathroom: i use clorox wand for the toilet. swiffer wet for the floor, & everything else is scrubbing bubbles.

Fantastik w/ bleach is a great all-purpose cleaner. Also, soft scrub for the tub! You'll need something to mop with (as well as a mop and bucket). Swiffers are always good, too! Oh, and pledge to dust.

I like the seventh generation stuff for cleaners, I used their bathroom and kitchen cleaners and thought they did a good job. I like the clorox with bleach toilet bowl cleaner, i found it to be one of the best i have used. Clorox wipes and Mr. clean magic eraser work really well also!!

ITA with second generation, I use that for the kitchen and clorox clean up for the bath.
also get some multipurpose murphy's spray for all wood items and the Magic Erasers by Mr. Clean ---serious magic!!

I second the Clorox wipes! Also, Mr. Clean magic erasers. LOOOOOVE them! They are awesome. It really is like magic.
I use Cascade gel in the dishwasher.

If you're short on cash...I LOVE Comet powder cleanser. It comes in a canister and is about 85 cents - $1.00 (sometimes less on sale!) and will last forever.
I find its great for cleaning bathtub, sinks, countertops...it is a bit gritty, but not abrasive to surfaces.

heres stuff I seem to use a lot and stuff that seems obvious but that you may forget about: Paper towels (I know seems stupid, but I almost always forget!) swiffer mop fantastik or all purpose spray febreeze dish soap, dish washer soap hand soap magic eraser (works wonders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I second this..wall scuffs to counter tops, best creation of all time.
I also use Seventh Generation in the kitchen. I prefer eco products where I'm gonna be eating for some reason. If I need something tougher tho, I go fantastik.
For the tub, I also use the Seventh Gen shower cleaner...I have a certain kind of tile/grout where I can't use scrubbing bubbles...
Glass, Windex, nothing else works as well and I've literally tried everything. I have mirrors everywhere (hello 80s!)
Toilet Bowl cleaner, the Lysol one is amazing. I also use Febreze for general upholstery freshening.

I like clorox wipes and windex, lol. FH does most of the cleaning though and he usually uses straight bleach!

^^ Is ur FH in science?? Cause sometimes I do stuff like that left over from working in labs and hospitals where everything is a bleach solution!!!
I second the Clorox or Lysol wipes -- I get the large size in bulk from BJ's they work on EVERYTHING -- stove, walls, all surfaces and stains and dirt just go away!
Clorox Greenworks All surface cleaner is really good -- also can be purchased in bulk. Bonus is that is works on glass AND stainless steel!
This may seem silly but I like getting air fresheners as well those air wick automatic ones are great -- set and walk away and they keep on goin!
In the bathroom i Like the Lysol cleaner that u squirt under the rim and it coats the bowl.
Fantastik is also a good all purpose product!
I like products that (1) have more than one use -- handy for when u run out of something. (2) have a fabulous smell cause u wanna know u cleaned! LOL 3) are inexpensive!

Same for me!! Scrubbing bubbles work so well!

Fabuloso for the floors! It works on tile and hardwood and makes your house smell SO clean!!!!!!
