Alright, I am 26 and have tons of gray hair. I haven't dyed my hair in a long time. I just hate dealing with roots and touch ups and all that. So, I love my natural hair color but I have some gray that I really would like to cover. I want to do this in a conservative way. Does anyone have any suggestions that doesn't require tons of money and frequent trips to the salon? My co-worker suggested a glaze. I am not sure what that is but she says it makes your color more three dementional. Please let me know what you suggest- I appreciate it!

I'm not a hairdresser but I believe a glaze is only for when you have your hair dyed. Don't quote me! It depends on how fast your hair grows if you get it dyed. I wouldn't suggest using the box dyes because they often leave your hair dry. My hairdresser does an amazing job and she isn't expensive either! I don't have grey but I like my hair darker than my natural color(it's a reddish light brown). I don't know where you live but I'm in suffolk and she works in Port Jefferson at Euro Touch on 347 her name is Cheri. I'm sure she can match the color dye to your hair and dye it that way. HTH!!! (if you need her number let me know)

A glaze is very good it is almost like if you do a rinse. It also gives your hair great shine.

I just use at home hair dyes.
I like Natural Match, and Garnier Nutriesse. I get the ash/beige tones (my color is light ash brown) to avoid getting those brassy, reddish undertones.
The only complaint I have about this is that I have to do it about every 2 months, but at least it's not expensive as going to the salon.
HTH.

Why not a nice and easy semi permanent color. I dye my hair (with permanent dye) at home all the time!

Aaaa ur in the same boat as me. What color hair do you have? I went to a salon and got a henna done for really cheap...its a natural dye and it doesnt ruin your hair... and it was only like 45 bucks. It lasts for months.
Wash outs are always the best though... Nice and easy is great it doesnt turn your hair red...

I am home dying obsessed...I change it all the time...
A glaze is not going to camouflage the gray just make them kinda shiny...
Unfortunately...only answer is any form of dye...the Natural Match is really a God sent..it really does not turn brassy...

If you highlight it the grays will blend in...well depending on how gray you are
