Need your help re: eparty

I am trying to plan our eparty and was throwing around the idea of having it at a Knights of Columbus hall or American Legion to save some money for the wedding. I have only ever stepped foot inside one of those halls for a sweet 16 years ago and it was way cheesy. Are there nice ones? Can someone please recommend a decent one. I would really appreciate it! Thanks guys!

Where are you looking? We had our eparty at Rye Town Park, near Playland. They have pavilions on the water (yet, covered in case of bad weather). It was cheap to rent and they set-up the tables and chairs themselves. We had it catered by Ann Clairs from the Bronx, which delivered up there. We fed 60 people, all for about $800 total. (Rent and all)

Definitely check out the Elk's Lodge in Lynbrook and the Firehouse in Wantagh. Both are lovely and not tacky at all!
