need your help.. seriously (WR)

ok, so i dont have a father and i grew up with my grandma as my father so she'll be walking me down the aisle. i wanted my mom to be equally as important so she's gonna be my MOH.. the thing is, i dont know what to dress her in. does she wear the bridesmaid clothes (all of the BM are young and somewhat fit, my mom isnt) or should she wear a MOB gown? i dont know what to do. ahhh

often times the MOH wears something different from the rest of the girls to show her importance. maybe she can wear something that somehow coordinates with the wedding party, but is still age appropriate. on the other hand maybe she can find a more traditional MOB dress in the same colors as the BP and that would be close enough. most of all you want your mom to be comfortable & look good- she'll be in alot of pics too, so she should be happy with what she's wearing.

I like this too. Put her in the same color as your BP, but in a more age-appropriate dress. Or at lest a little matching jacket or something. I've been to plenty of weddings where even the bridesmaids all wore different dresses, but the same color and the same length, and it all looked very neat and coordinated.

same here - my mom is the MOH and shes wearing the same color as the bridal party but more of a mom of the bride style

more than the matron of honor, she is mother of the bride.... I agree with the others.... she would look beautiful in a similar color, but MOB dress. That way, she stands out even more in your bridal party than if she matched everyone else!
That is truly sweet having both your mom and grandma figure so prominently in the ceremony.

It will be really touching and beautiful....

I think the meaning of the person is more important that the attire.... maybe keep her in the same color family...

maybe you can get her a dress in the same color as the girls and leave teh style up to her so she can pick something she is comfortable in

well our colors are brown, ivory and sage. the girls will all be in brown (not sure if they'll be matching or not) so i was thinking maybe have my mom in a sage color or ivory maybe? or does that just look weird?? my mom is relatively young (43) so i cant see her wearing anything too old fashion. are there any websites online to look at? or if you can find a dress thats nice, please help out.
