Someone recently shot down my idea of having a sheath dress for my wedding dress. I hate the way the poof looks on me and there are so many different dresses that are just as beautiful as ballgowns. This woman told me that I am only a bride once and I have to wear a poofy dress or there is no point. I never saw it that way and was seriously offended. What do you think?

I think you totally need to feel comfortable and go with what YOU want. I don't look good in poofy, lacy, or beading but everyone wants me to be all fancy. I can't buy something because someone else wants me to look a certain way. I say go with your gut and what you feel good with. Thats the only way you're going to look beautiful on your big day.

thats silly. wear any dress YOU like! its your wedding and shes right your only a bride once so you should be a happy bride and wear what you want. its your day!

That's ridiculous! You should wear whatever dress you love and are comfortable in - it's your wedding and you are entitled to wear any dress you want!

That's the way I feel also. She was just not having it. She couldn't get past her own idea of what a wedding should be.

A lot of people feel that way....when I told ppl I wanted to wear a mermaid cut, they said the same thing....ultimately, you should wear what looks best on you....for me it turns out that the all out ball gown looks best on me..strangers can't tell you what'll look best on you...and it's good to be different from the typical cookie cutter bride..it'll make your wedding memorable...

wear whatever you want!!! I looked like a mushroom in a poof dress, so there was no way I was going with that. Maybe you could try a mermaid or a fit and flare style dress to make things a little more dramatic.

look at my album my dress is not poof and i think if poof doesnt flatter you dont do it!! thats rubbish about only doing once so it has to be poofy!!!! Angers me infact! I wanted something that flattered my body not that ate me up!! Go with what you love!!!

Wow whoever told you that isn't very nice! I'm sure you will be a gorgeous bride no matter what you wear! but go with something that YOU love, not someone else
