Are dessert liquers (Baily's, Kahlua, etc) included in an open bar?

So I inquired at my tasting about cordials for dessert. We are not having a viennese, just wedding cake and another dessert. When she got back to me with pricing, she said it will be $7 per person. I think that is a bit high, especially when an open bar is included. Can't my guests order a Baily's on the rocks or Kahlua and cream at any point during the night?

yeah i agree with you on that! At least some bailey's on the rocks

I haven't asked about this but it is interesting and something to think about.

I know with our venue we had to request certain liquors we wanted to be available, and it was put into our contract, and from my experience visiting venues ( and going to weddings) they usually don't have every single kind of alcohol there, I would imagine kahlua and things like that would be some of the ones not on hand if not requested. As far as having it for dessert, in a way I understand the charge, as it is more of a service. I see your point, but if people wanted kahlua or baileys for dessert they could just walk to the bar and get it, no? I would definitely speak to them about what kinds of liquor will be on hand during the reception.

I would call the venue we have any liquor we request included with open bar. There are tons more liquors that stew more expensive than Baileys. I would follow up I couldn't see them not doing that.
