Need your opinion **UPDATE AT BOTTOM**

I wont go into a crazy long story but let me get right to the point.

I am about to sign a contract for a video with a good friend of mine who is in the business. He did my other friends wedding recently.

He charged her a lot less than me and when I questioned it he said it was a one time rate that he could never do again.

He told me (this is the new quote) that for 750 he can:
-tape us for about 1/2 hour getting ready
-tape some of the ceremony
-and tape 1-2 hours of the reception.

Am I being an overzealous cheapskate? Should I stay with him or research further?

Wait what do you mean take SOME of the ceremony?? Only 1-2 hrs during the reception? DONT SIGN IT!!!!!!!!! You want ALL OF YOUR MOMENTS!!!! I didnt want to pay too much for our video so we are going with the most basic package... but we want EVERYTHING to be recorded.

I just emailed him back saying and I quote 'ok so you can only do an hour at the reception-or an hour worth of video'

Im waiting on the response. I actually dont mind having a short-ish wedding video, but honestly I was a little put out by this.

So I spoke with him and he said he would be there the entire day. And what he meant when he said 1-2 hours was worth of edited video time, meaning he wasnt going to tape for an hour to two and leave.

He told me he'd incorporate the girls in my BP and me getting ready and asked me if I wanted the whole ceremony. I said no because it is pretty long and I just want the main parts.

He then said he'd shoot the vows, walking down the aisle, kiss etc at the church and do the whole reception-BUT after editing it would only be 1-1/2 hours worth of tape.

He offered to tape our formal portraits at the park we're going to go to.
I am still undecided though and emailed Halo. Thanks everyone.
