I'm wearing white and the bridesmaids are wearing wine with black trim and maid/matron of honor are wearing black with wine trim.
This is what I had in mind for the guys....
groom - black tux with white shirt and silver vest.
groomsmen - black tux with white shirt and wine vest
Would that be ok for the guys?

I think it would be fine for the guys as long as you can get their wine vests dyed to match the BMs dresses exactly.
I was going to do the same thing when I got married but I was so afraid of having the GM vests being a slightly different color than the BM dresses and worried that it would look terrible in pictures...
I ended up having DH wear a platinum colored vest and all the GM work a onyx colored vest...let me see if I have a pic...
Ok found a pic but dont know how well you will be able to see the vest colors
I was going to give them a swatch of the bridesmaids dresses. Do you think that the color still would be off?

If you give them a big enough swatch I think it would probably be OK but I would make sure that if it isnt, they will fix it free of charge and also get it to them ASAP so that if its not the right color, you have time to have it redyed.
