because you know its gonna come off as though you 'took her idea'

although i know it goes perfectly with the theme you are going for with your wedding............

so maybe you could jus talk to her, and explain that it has nothing to do with HER wanting it too, but more to do with it fitting with your style and your overall feel of the wedding, and you hope she understands and doesnt take it the wrong way

eta: is she engaged and getting married???? if shes getting married like a month after u or something that might make it a lil worse, but u didnt mention a wedding of hers....if shes not even getting married, then Oh Well i feel like!

ITA. Talk to her and see how she feels.
If you think about it, most people who get married near each other wear a traditional veil and no one seems to get upset about having the same type. I guess it will be a little different because a birdcage veil is something different and a little unique.

even if you two talk abt it and she says its fine you really wont know if she actullay 'fine'.

it's like I have always wanted to walk down the aisle to violins and canon D and one of my best friends got married about 7 months ago and did the same thing. It's a wedding....if you love it do it.

in that case I would just tell her that a bird cage goes perfectly with ur dress and u are gonna wear one
dont make it as a question, more like tell her thats what ur doing
no reason why 2 ppl cant wear a birdcage veil

I def agree maybe after talking to her and shes sees you wearing it, it would matter to her anymore !!
