Need your opinions on an engagement gift!

My DH's partner's son just got engaged over the weekend, so I need to send them a gift. I've never actually met the couple, so I have no idea where their tastes lie.

I was thinking about getting them this vase:

I love the vase! Only question I have is are they registered yet? Alot of my engagement gifts (and I didn't have an EP) were from my registry so people didn't have to guess what we liked

They just got engaged on Friday, so I doubt they're registered yet and I would imagine they're not going to have an engagement party since they plan to wed in Sept or Oct.

If they're not registered anywhere yet, then I say go with it. It's a lovely vase.

i might go with something simpler- jmo.

my cousin gave us a beautiful plain vase from tiffany that anyone would like-

i'm just thinking that may not go with their decor and something plain might be more universal jmo- sorry to be the only one

I agree - I love vases but I would prob go with a plainer crystal vase since you don't know their taste/decor!

I like it a lot. But, I strongly recommend that you include the gift receipt in case they don't have space or it's not their taste.

I have so many lovely things stored away because we just don't have anymore space

Good idea! I've received some nice gifts that just aren't my taste and no reciepts so it was a waste. :(
