needed to vent, so i figured i'd do it here...

For the most part I am pleased with everyone I invited to my wedding. I care very deeply about the people on my invite list and hope that they can all attend.. however.. there is this one lady.. sigh. she's a good friend/coworker of mine who has helped me out IMMENSELY over the years we have worked together.. When I interviewed for administrator positions in a district she was well known in, she went to bat for me NUMEROUS times.. told me who to get to know, who to hob nob with, who to talk to ... how to carry the interview, who to write back to afterwards. . etc etc. etc..

even passed me a tissue when i was passed over for the position by a lesser qualified, but in district person.. anyone who teaches on LI knows how this goes..

Our friendship exceed work hours and we talk and chat on the phone over holidays and weekends.. I really do enjoy being around her..

HOWEVER..

she has to be the tackiest,class-less person one could ever meet.. and LOUD TOO.. lol. today she comes up to me while i'm talking to another co-worker and says.. LOUDLY MIND YOU.. i sent it in the mail.. did you get it? i mailed it.. i mailed it.. did it come yet..? i mailed it your mom's house..

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? i wanted to DIE.. ugh.. after i finished my conversation i went RIGHT to her class and said yo.. seriously.. don't ever do that again.. like EVER. you put me in a bad position because i didn't invite the co-worker i was talking to.. mind you this is the only person i invited who came to work and loudly said.. I GOT YOUR INVITE.. it's SOO PRETTY all loud in the hallways.. everyone else was discreet about it..

anyhoo.. she apologized and said she didn't realize.. she didn't know.. sigh...

i am left now to wonder what other faux pas this lady will commit.. i can imagine her getting dressed up in her best white suit and coming to my wedding in it..i'mma sit her next to fh's uncle who claims he's gonna dress to match the bridal party.. and his cousin who is gonna wear a black suit and a canary yellow shirt with matching canary yellow shoes.. is it a wedding? or the pimp player's ball?

I feel your pain. I have coworkers who I wasn't going to invite say to me 'you better invite me to your wedding'

People are classless and some just dont' think but mean you no harm.

I wouldn't worry about what she or anyone else is going to do or wear because honestly.....everyone will only be looking at YOU!!!!!!!

OMG no she didn't.
girl...leave it up to God! at this point, don't fret about what other people might do to embarrass you at ur wedding. when you think about it, anything can happen really. just put your positive thoughts and images of ur day out there and look forward to that.
wishing you the best for the rest of ur planning

Wow.... It seems to me like she is very hungry for attention!

You are so winning the contest of people dressing terrible at weddings!!!!

So sorry you have to go through this. It's unfortunate that many people don't have tact and class!
