Negotiable???

Which vendors are negotiable, and which are not? And which are the most negotiable?

I believe every vendor is nego...def the RH, Flowers, Video, Photo (the major ones)..not so sure about DJ or makeup people

I just found out today that even the dress is nego , that I did not know

Not at all..shop around and then go back to the one you like best and tell them that Company X is willing to do it for X amount.

BTW: You will find great tips on here from other future and past brides

It's funny because I am not the type to nego but since we are paying for it ourselves I have not problem asking if that is the best they can do or what can I get added.

Still soooo happy to see you can do it with the wedding dress as well

EVERY SINGLE VENDOR IS NEGOTIABLE.....GOT SO MUCH IN MY DJ PACKAGE FOR A GREAT RATE...i GOT GREAT DEALS FROM ALL MY vENDORS

I talked my dj's down from 1500 to 1000

I also negotiated my photogs down by $300 and got them to throw in 2 extra hours and cut us a good deal on a trash the dress shoot (which I think they wouldve done anyway)

We talked Danfords down a ridiculous amount as well

I already talked my RH down, and got a great deal! I was a little concerned about the other vendors though. I figured there was a little 'wiggle room' with everyone, but I didn't realize they would be that flexible. I'm excited!

I negoiated with almost every vendor I worked with and tried to get the lowest price as possible including catering rentals! The only thing that I couldn't negoiate was our outdoor tent rental since the prices were set. In terms of vendors: def RH, catering, florist, yes even make-up & hair, rentals (tux, silverware, etc.), limos, photography/video, band/DJ, jewelry as well as most bridal stores. Def do a comparison with different places and see if you can get a lower quote by phone or in person. Business is very competitive now so they will most likely be eager to work within your range or closest to it.

EVERYONE is negotiable... so far the only vendor I have really negotiatied with is my RH to get the price per person down. I also think it may be easier to negotiate with companies rather than individuals... if you go with a big photog company they might be more willing to work with you than if you get a photog that runs/owns/operates his own business. He's not getting the quantity of work coming in since he's really the only one shooting and then really doesn't get the discounts from his manufacturers on things like albums/prints/etc. And if you're willing to move your date around that could also help! I'm sure everyone else has said the same thing... someone getting married in the late fall or winter might have an easier time negotiating than someone getting married in June or September.

Everything is negogitable. The easiest to negogiate is def. the RHs.

I have only booked the RH so far and I negotiated, I plan on negotiating on EVERYTHING

The only vendor that I have so far is the RH, which is absolutely negotiable. I visited 16 places and only 2 were not willing to work with me on price (and those 2 were out of state, so maybe they do things differently in some places.)
