After getting many ideas on this website, I have a few requests for my reception hall. Can I negotiate some more after I've already booked and have a contract? For example I really want strawberries or raspberries in the champagne, but I didn't think of that when I signed the contract. I'd like my tableclothes 'festooned.' Maybe get rid of 1 or 2 chaffing dishes to include shrimp cocktail. Are these things that I can still discuss with the hall? Has anyone done this? Or is this the norm?

it doesn't hurt to try it! i'm planning on doing that with the photographer. you really can't think of EVERYTHING when signing contract. hopefully they'll be lenient and understand!

Based on past friends and sis's wedding, certain things they will charge you for additonal. At my sisters hall, they charged her a flat rate for strawberries because it was out of season, her wedding was in February. The tablecloth thing I guess depends if your party is in the morning --first party of the day and they will have time to do it for you.
