Has anyone had any luck negotiating with their hopeful reception hall over the phone. We have been to visit one venue twice and I want to try again to see if we can reduce the rate. Is it ok to call or do I need to go visit the BM again?
Thanks!

Re: Negotiating over the phone?
I'd go there and negotiate in person that way you can have in writing what price they are giving you.
From my experiences I honestly believe that some of these halls will tell you anything over the phone (or in my case on your first visit to the hall)to get you to come down there.
I nmy case my hall qouted me one price, which was very reasonable so I booked for the tasting. I went to the tasting & it was fantastic.. couldn't say enough good things about the food. It came down to talking money and suddenly he;s telling me the price he gave me was for an afternoon wedding... I never mentioned the word afternoon, never even wanted it.
Long story short... go down there and get everything in writing with specific as to night/day wedding!
