Negotiating RH help

Negotiating RH help

Okay...probably the dumbest question ever but here goes...

I am by far the WORST haggler. I'm going tomorrow to look at a few RH's but don't know exactly what to negotiate. Girls have gotten some great prices and I think I just don't know what to ask. Please help...

TIA

Tell them that you are getting something you want from another RH for a better price and see what they say. Good Luck just stick to your guns!!

It's hard to realy negotiate prices.
You can ask about what kinds of perks you get for signing a contract soon.
Also you should negotiate about your minimum guarantee if you are worried about that.

If it's your first time going, don't worry about negotiating now. Save that for when you've narrowed it down or chosen your hall and THEN negotiate. (E.g., call and say 'I'd like to book for xyz date if it's still available, but I really can't go over $x per person. If you can match that, I'll come over with my deposit today.' Or 'My second choice hall based solely on price is $x per person. I can't afford to go over that, but if we can work something out where I can get that price from you, I'll come book right away.'

Something like that -- but don't negotiate on the first visit. Just get a feel of the prices and the atmosphere, etc.

Totally possible to negotiate prices unless you are booking REALLY far in advance (and even then you probably can!)

We got our hall down $15pp.

I know I am pretty bad at that too...when we went to speak with our hall, we basically just told them around what we were looking to spend per person and then as we were leaving we told them that we really loved it but we were looking to keep it at x per person...also, I think we already haggled by having our wedding in February!!! Good luck and keep us posted!

I don't think you need to worry about negotiating just yet. I would wait till you narrowed down your choices and then when you really know you want something, then try to haggle then.

I think we used our minimum count to negotiate. The more we guaranteed, the less the price got.

I'm the same way. i'm probably worse. bring your fh with you! I brought mine and my dad. even just a male makes things different. some places I went with my girls they always tried to take advantage of us with prices. once I went back with fh they suddenly got all intimidated.
