We went to our favorite two spots this weekend. We fell in love with the first location and so did our families!! The second location is equally nice, 5 dollars more per person, but offers an extra CH station, chair wraps, and a dessert table. I tried to negotiate with my first location and they're not really budging.. They're adding in a dessert table but what I really want is the chair covers and another upgrade (maybe add'l station? or chocolate fountain?.. something!). They offered to throw in the chair covers for an additional $5.. So it's not really thrown in..I'll be paying for them. I'm so torn.. I love the first location!! Any suggestions? Prayers maybe? LOL
Oh.. and P.S. Second location cut off $9 PP when we asked them about pricing. -____- But I'm not 'in love'!

chair covers are usually an outside expense, so that's probably why? either an outside company or at least outside cleaning service- from what we learned.

It sounds like you really love the first RH...I say if you can afford the first one then go for it...at the end of the day you're not going to care about an extra CH station...

You need to figure out what is more important to you. Do you want the place you love or the extra carving station and chair covers? I will say that out of all the weddings I've gone to I really don't remember how many carving stations someone had. Most of them I didn't want to get too full before the dinner.

Sometimes if you offer in paying for an upgrade, maybe paying for an extra station, say $5 or something they will throw in the chair covers. A few places offered that to me, so if I give them, they'd give me. Try it! And good luck!!

What i would do is say listen we are paying for the wedding yourselves with no help and this is your budget and we cant do that ...and see what they say and if they still say no ..say sorry but i cant we are giving you money and if u dont want it then thats fine with me LOL...
U have to make them sweat really b/c its your wedding

I would go with the place that I love. This is your wedding day and you will remember forever. Some RH do throw in chair covers or the price for this is already included in the price per person...but even if its not, have them add in the contract that they will only charge you $5 for the chair covers. so you don't have to decide to add this now. this way, you don't have to decide now and if the price goes up from now and when you decide you want it, your still guranteed the price on your contract

Thanks for all of the advice ladies!!! Although I didn't get all of the extras added in I was hoping for, I realize that in the end.. an extra CH station will not make or break my wedding. But the location, definitely will!! I spoke to my parents and they agree that this is 'The One'.. So I made an appointment with the Banquet Manager and he is already holding my date!!!
