NELSON D'LEON

I booked Nelson in October to do my hair and makeup for my wedding this June....many of you may have heard of him or seen his work, as he has done other LIW brides' hair and makeup. He is also well known for designing head pieces and veils.

I got a call from Nelson's receptionist this morning, and she told me that Nelson had a stroke 2 weeks ago. He is in the hospital now and the doctors are recommending that he not work anymore...

I feel terrible...here I am worrying about my hair and this man is trying to recover from a stroke!

Oh no....I will say a prayer...poor man

OMG...that's terrible news. So very sad.

Now that that's out of the way...

Will his sister be taking over the business? Will you be getting it done by her?

The receptionist said that Maria (his sister) could do it...and I have to get back to her on that right away...My only concern with that is that I have heard that while she does a really good job, Nelson guides her every step of the way, so I don't know what to do...again, I do feel horrible worrying about my hair, but I have to hurry up and decide.

I know it's tough worrying about your wedding when these things happen, but there is nothing you can do for him, but pray. You still need someone to do your hair/makeup.

I pray that he recover fast! That's awful! He does amazing work!

I've seen Maria's work, and it's been just as great as his. I would trust the family!

Omg Da..I'm so sorry..I was JUST telling Joanne the other day how i LOVED ur hair for the trials....
Well, I have heard of his work and his sisters-I'm sure if you show his sister the pics, she can do it just as good as him

I feel bad for him too-poor man!

Have his sister do it.... I am sure that even if Nelson was the one to guide her every step of the way... there must of been times where she has had to do it herself without him there by herside and I've seen her work and she is phenomenal. I say go with her. Poor Nelson.
