Re: Nervous
I was so nervous too! He basically did an investigation. The church wants to make sure you haven't been married before. We got questioned separately at one point. I was like my God, what is he asking us that we can't be together? Because I let FH go first. But it turned out to be nothing too wild. I was asked am I pregnant (no), have I been married before (no), is there anything wrong with you physically or mentally that could effect the marriage (no), and things like that.

I get so strangely nervous before any appointment with a vendor. FH and my mom always laugh at me because I'm SO anxious right before. I can't even tell you why!!
You'll be fine! Just answer honestly and you'll do great!

He asked me the same questions but then also asked if FH and I were brother and sister. We both thought that was a bizarre question but he asked it. Don't be nervous about going just answer the questions honestly and you'll be fine.

agreed they asked us all the same questions and then ours threw in an icebreaker like why do you want to marry him most?

I was asked the same questions too but basically the priest just spoke and went over all the important catholic rules..no sex before marriage, no form of birth control, no living together..All the rules I currently break lol. It definitely wasn't as bad as i thought it would be and FH and i had a good laugh about it after over dinner.

I was definitely so nervous as well, thinking they'd ask about cohabitation, etc.. but as luck would have it, FH ended up already knowing the deacon that we met with through prior events. I assumed we'd meet with the priest, but we met with the deacon who basically runs everything, which made me more nervous. It was so much more laid back than I thought it would be. They did question us separately as well but it was more or less very basic yes or no questions, that you already know the answer to (will you be faithful, are you getting married for the purpose of having children, etc). I felt very comfortable talking with him, and given our religion I understand why they ask certain questions. I think we'll be in for the true test when we do pre-cana lol.
