nervous about dress shopping

Hi Ladies,
My mom and I are going wedding dress shopping for the first time next Friday and I am TERRIFIED! I've only been engaged a month, but my wedding is July 2010 so I know I need to get started.

I have been putting it off for the fear that I would go to a store and they would have not have my size. I have been insecure for most of my life about my weight. This is supposed to be a wonderful thing for my mom and I to share, but to me it's very stressful.

I am going to do my best to lose as much as I can over the next 11 months, but can you please recommend some stores that have a variety of styles, sizes and great customer service where I won't feel paranoid? Also, would I need to make an appointment?

no worries us brides come in all sizes!!! i think davids bridal has all sizes to try on... i didnt start dress shopping yet but im pretty sure they do! good luck and dont worry!!!

I would definitely make an appointment.

I'm not sure about what sizes they have, but the customer service there is amazing at Elena Bridal Couture in Merrick.

I think every female is insecure about their size at some point in their life. I was the same way- I lost 35 lbs on Weight Watchers but I had a goal to keep me focused. It seemed to the the only thing that worked for me.

Don't be nervous about dress shopping- enjoy every minute of it. No matter what you will a beautiful bride. I know Davids Bridal has gowns in all sizes, Macy's in the city didn't have different sized which I thought was odd.

No need to be nervous. I know very few brides that walk into a store and can fir into the samples and even those that can the dresses might be too big and you still cant get the entire picture. A good salon will be there to help you figure out what is the right style for you. While Davids Bridal may have a large selection dont shy away from the other salons because the customer service at the individual salons will be much better.

You will find the perfect dress dont worry.
