Nervous about food and cake

Hey Guys,

So I need to know if anyone has ever had an event at Terrace on the park. I know that it is a great place, but they do not give a food tasting, so I am a bit nervous about the food. Can anybody tell me about the food?

I've heard good things about them.. I heard the food was GOOD!!! One of my friends worked there for years.. She only had great things to say..

my fiance cousin wedding was there in June. Im going to give you my honest opinion.

Be careful of the staffs attentiveness because there were 3 other parties going on and they were all over the place. Also we found this out later but they promised shrimp and other stuff during the cocktail hour and for the bride in the bridal suite that was never served. STAY ON TOP OF THIS. She (the bride) was alittle upset by this. Also they rushed alot of stuff, ie first dance, they did the cake cutting no one ever saw they practically did it for her. I just wasnt impressed. Also when we were just about to leave they were already removing the centerpieces off the table which was crazy cuz there were like 10min left until the wedding was over. I just thought it was alittle unprofessional. Then brides mother had to stop them because some guest wanted the centerpieces. Just felt rushed too many events going on at once. Just make sure you stay on top of them. Oh yeah and they put the steak, chicken and fish on the same plate. my fh doesnt eat beef and the steak was on top of the chicken, make sure you tell them to seperate the meats not everyone eats everything. But to be fair the food was pretty tasty, especially the mashed potatoes and what they did serve at CH was delicious.

thank you soo much!!! I will be going down very soon to the venue, and I will talk about the time factor, because I certainly do not want to be rushed. What time did the affair start? Was it early or late? My affair starts in the afternoon. We are supposed to be the only affair on the entire floor for that day. So hopefully, there will not be a problem.

I got married at Terrace on the Park (used an outside caterer though) but I have to tell you have to give everything to them in writing.. and I did and it was perfect!!

We were not rushed, there was another wedding going on there.. we have about 500 guests, and they extended our cocktail, so everyone could eat (and this was Mark's doing without any extra $$) and also extended our reception.. we had a sit down affair and mini viennesse on each table, and his staff were on top of everything..

i had all my vendors, and my DOC -Francesca was the bestesttttttttt ever.. if anything needed to be changed or handled, she took care of it.. believe me.. when the place is all decorated, and when your guests go up.. they will be in for a special treat... it's not everyday people attend weddings 14 floors up.. with sweeping views of the manhattan skyline and shea stadium..

so no worries, it will be great!

Food was so delicious I was nervous also..they said they would make me any cake I wanted and the did..they copied my pic EXACTLY it was also delicious...FM me for more details heres my cake...check my album for more pics
