Never asked this question

Never asked this question

So, FH and I recently booked the Watermill. We made our deposit and know the payment schedule. Our first payment is due in May. How do we make the payment? We want a receipt, so do we have to go there everytime we need to make a payment? We never asked when we booked..I feel a little stupid!

your contract should outline all the dates your payments are dues........take a look see?

Don't feel stupid! Personally, we've made each payment in person and got a reciept right then and there but I'm sure you could mail your payment and they would in turn mail you a receipt.

It's not a silly question. I would just call your BM. They are used to these kind of questions.

we did the same...even ran late on one payment...they don't really care, as long as they get their money. I dropped off a check each time and got a receipt each time.

OK...I don't feel so dumb. We know when the payments sre due, we just weren't sure how we go about making them. I love going to visit the Watermill, so I won't mind going every few months...even if it is to give away my life savings!

You can definitely mail in the check, and have them mail or fax back the receipt.

If you're paying by check, the cancelled check will also act as a receipt.

My hall sends us a bill everytime we have to make a payment...they have a recommended payment amount on there but they don't really care as long as they get some sort of payment.

We can mail it or bring it in, but since the next payment is due 1 year before our wedding day, we plan to take it there..so I can see exactly what it will look like next year :)

i would pay by certified check, this way, you kinda have multple recicepts and noone else could cash it in the event it got lost of something

I would do a certified check and then mail return receipt requested OR just right a note with the check asking them to send you back a receipt.

My dad is using the check as the reciept I think, and if they send a reciept that is good too.

I am sure that you can mail in your payment. That is what I am doing. I live 45 minutes from hall

you mail in the check and they deduct the amount from the receipt you have that lists your pay schedule. you can ask them to fax you a copy of the receipt...
You always have a copy of the cashed check for your records.

We liked to go there every time to make our payments.. It was exciting to look around and we'd always take a look at our room. Then we'd go out for a nice dinner and talk about all the anticipation and how much fun it is gonna be..

Re: Never asked this question

As a fello Watermill bride, heres how it works, you can pay with check or money order as they send you the payment invoice in the mail and then that is your receipt or if you call and ask them to fax/send you a receipt they will..or you will need to drop the payments off( not too bad since you only have 3 of them right?...I know ours is May, August, november and then balance right before...)
Hope that helps!
