Never Been In Love

I have a friend at work who's 30 years old, extremely independent, and has never been in love. She asked me today what it feels like to love someone the way I love my Eddie. I told her that for five years now, I have lived, worked and had this man with me every single day. He's a part of me, when we are apart, a piece of me is missing. I always want him to be the first one I see in the morning and the last one I wish goodnight.

I thought this might make an interesting thread...how would you answer my friend's question?

OMG- people ask me that and I can never answer without getting choked up!!

FH is my best friend, my lover, my confidante...It defies explanation. It was really love at first sight for both of us, and I really can't define it.

I agree with you - the words don't give justice to the emotion. I'm not sure if there are words that explain the depth of feeling.

how about this... I can barely even remember my life before I met him.

I can remember my life before I met him, and it was so empty! He is the person I look forward to seeing when I first wake up and the last person I want to see before I go to sleep. Just the thought of him brightens a horrible day and his arms bring me such comfort. Life without him would be empty.

Sounds like you ladies should incorporate these words as part of your vows.
