WOW! So the idiot owner of the Waterview club who claimed bankruptcy and stole all our money (and thousands from other brides, too!) and REFUSES to return it, claiming he doesn't have any of it, is opening up a new restaurant in Freeport!!!! That liar obviously has the money!!! Another Waterview Club bride is going to be on the news about it either tomorrow or tonight.
He is a liar and a bad person and doesn't deserve anyone's business!!

That's horrible. I looked it up on FB and it looks it is the old Rachel's Restaurant. I won't be going there and we go to Freeport all the time.
I am not deleting the above post but I would like to say that in no way was I saying that Rachel's is associated with WET. Many places were abandoned after Sandy and I thought Rachel's was one of them. BTW- WET is not in the Rachel's building but another building on the mile. Rachel's has reopened for business.

I just called Rachel's who claims they have no connection with the Waterview, and I told them they better get on line because I go to church in Freeport and we will start a boycott immediately. There is a festival in Freeport on the first weekend of June and I think you girls should don a veil and picket the restaurant.

Also - the restaurant you are speaking about is located at 103 Woodcleft Ave, and Rachel's is at 281 Woodcleft. Please always check your info before spreading rumors - this could devastate a business that has done no wrong.....

This is what someone wrote (and WET promptly deleted within an hour) on their facebook page:Owner is Paul Burnup (Google Paul Burnup Waterview) - He ran a North shore catering hall without paying rent for over TWO years. He continued to take deposits for weddings into 2014 knowing his days were numbered. He even took deposits AFTER he had been served with his eviction papers, with ZERO intentions of being able to honor the contract. He took off with their money, never returning ONE DOLLAR to these poor couples, as well as stiffing the landlord (American Legion) who is a group of elderly American War Veterans, severely crippling their lives and futures. Is this the kind of Business you want to support?? There are tons of other great places on Freeport's Nautical mile run by upstanding businessmen. This guy should be in Prison, not allowed to commit fraud and rip people off, then just open up a new place! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!
