Never heard of this until meeting with Laura (LA Productions) today . . .
am I the only one that has never heard of this??
Something Borrowed (okay) Something Blue (okay) Something old (okay) Something New (okay) and a six pence in her shoe (huh?)
Laura explained to me that you take a sixpence, wrap it in tissue and place it inside your shoe.
I NEVER heard of this!!!!
Is anyone doing it?

A friend of mine had one sewn into the bottom hem on the inside of her dress. I dont know if that is as good as the shoe but it is much more comfortable and you could not see it!

This older lady I work with had told me this the other day. I asked her where the heck do I get a pence from, she suggested I ask this lady that works with us that is from England.

Yes thats the tradition. I taped two english coins (5p and 1p) to the bottom of my shoe.
There hasnt been a single coin sixpence minted for a while but you can buy them (for a ridiculous price if you ask me) or you can just get a friend to get you 6p from the UK or even tape a nickel and a penny to the bottom of your shoe.

Sixpence in the shoe was meant to bring wealth to the marriage...
You can find them for cheap on Ebay. The link below is for a sixpence minted in the year I was born... so I will probably buy it, unless I can get a 'real' sixpence from the Elizabethan era (as in the year 1575!). They run about 150.00 USD. I can't justify it in the budget. Yet.
