never say never!

LOL so for these past two years i have said that i didnt want a bo-k toss or garter toss - i am petrified that no one will go up for them

yeah guess what. . . .FH decided the other day that he wants it so i am doing it

i also said i would never do a unity candle, but now FH's aunt is getting us that for Christmas

i need to learn to keep my mouth SHUT and just go with the flow

Too funny FH wants to do it!!! I'm sure it will be fun. And I think the Unity Candle is nice... love the meaning:
The Unity Candle

When the Unity Candle is lit by the wedding couple, it symbolizes the merger of two lives into one.

When the Unity Candle is lit by a member of the couple's families (in many cases the mothers of the Bride and Groom, it symbolizes the joining of two families as well as the unity of the couple in marriage.

Regardless of who lights the candle, It is also considered a transfer of commitment from the families of the couple to a new commitment of the couple to establish a new family.

That was really sweet.... I love it when people contribute things that really mean something. Makes it so much more memorable too!!
PS- my FH has ADD too- LOL... Fortunately he stays pretty focused in church

Re: never say never!

Has anyone seen / or done the 'Superman' dance? I was at a wedding recently (granted it was in CA) where this was the hottest thing! I had no idea what they were doing???

I'd prefer not to do bouquet and garter toss, but FH really wants to, so I conceded. It's all about compromises, right?

Re: never say never!

I didn't want them either tilde (not the unity candle that I did want) but the bo-k and garter.

We compromised -- he can take off the garter and then we will do an anniversary dance and give the bo-k and garter to his grandparents.

My mom wanted the electric slide -- i really couldn't say NO to that.
