never underestimate gift 'stiffers' at your wedding :-)

LOL we' got married in june 2005, so almost 1 1/2 ago. now, we didn't get a card or gift from one of my parents friends, but we didn't think much of it. the mom is a SAHM, and we didn't know their $$ situation at the time, so we just didn't push the issue
ANYWAY fast forward to today and i get a christmas card from them with a check for $150 and a note apologizing. apparently, they had just gotten back from vacation the morning of our wedding, forgot the card, and just forgot to send it later! LOL so, never count anything out when you have 'stiffers' at your wedding

How sweet of them to give you the gift, even though it was late. I'm sure they felt awful about it! That was nice of them to remember you now! Plus, who can't use some extra cash around the holidays?!

Its the thought that counts. That was very nice of them. They could have easily opened the card and put the money back in their pockets since it has been so long.

Wow, that was really nice of them!!!!!!!! Someone else may have just said 'forget about it' and kept the money.

Wow!

I had heard that people have a while to give gifts but I didn't really believe it - but honestly - we received 4 gits this week alone (7 weeks after the wedding!).

awesome...yeah a friend of mine who I saw in November said 'we haven't forgotten your wedding gift, it's just going to be really late!' so might be one more coming still!!!!!!!!!!
