Re: nwr: credit cards, help!
I just asked this very question a few hours ago!! I've had credit cards before but I closed them out about 7-8 years ago and now all I have is my Amex. So I need a Mastercard or Visa for backup.
A few suggested Capital One and Chase, but make sure the interest rates are low and they offer rewards.
ETA: My first credit card was through my bank and this was probably the easiest way to go because your bank knows your cash flow and if you have direct deposit, they know you have money coming in to pay your bills.
