I think they should have made our currency more colorful a long time ago.

Me too. Alot of other countries have more colorful bills.

I guess counterfieters discovered how to mimick the last new one...so they needed to reevaluate...

too bad the new ones never came out...

Because they are trying to outsmart counterfeiters by changing them every 10 years. Don't see how that really does anything but whatever. nice to see what our tax dollars are going for.

I don't know - I think the new color is cool in a way, but all the color in other country's currency always made me feel like it looks like play money. At least it doesn't appear to be too bright and colorful.

I think it's because we are not used to it. Remember when they first changed the pictures of the people on the bills? It looked like play money too but now I don't even think about it.

I don't think this is wasted tax dollars though - safeguarding our currency so it retains value and helps stop counterfieting will only save us money in the long run. Although I am sure they spent way too much time and money coming up with the new design
