Hello all,
I just got engaged and can't wait to start planning the wedding!

We have been together a year and a half and are thinking about next summer for the wedding.

We met in Port Jefferson in 2009 on Friday the 13th. Last night, we went to get some dinner, then Rob told me he wanted to go to PJ to get this dessert we had once there. We got there, and he said he wanted to walk around a little, so we went down by the water. I didn't even realize that it was Friday the 13th, and we met 18 months earlier in Port Jefferson! He got down on one knee, asked me to marry him and I screamed so loud I think all of the boats heard me!

It was very sweet and romantic. Rob is a sweetheart and my best friend and I am so excited to be getting married to him!

Congrats! This is an exciting time! Just a word of advice, enjoy this time of being engaged without worrying too much about wedding planning. I wish I had. I love planning but sometimes I wish I had savored the moment a little more

Thank you so much for all of your warm welcomes! I can already tell this is such a nice community!

I plan on relaxing for a bit and enjoying being engaged, then maybe in a month or so thinking about the wedding more!

Right now, I am just interested in staring at my left hand!
