Just throwing out ideas I come across...haven't seen this one before...but you can do so many variations on it...

Pretty, but pinning the cards looks like a PIA & the potential for the cards to get wet seems high if the roses flip over. Also, it would be hard to drop off place cards a week in advance like my halls sugests.

Sorry to be a dream crusher. . .but pretty is rarely practical.

I LOVE that idea...not the simplest but it can certaintly be done, and I like those little extras like different kinds of place cards that people will remember.

p.s Is this a NEW modern bride????? Is it out yet? LOL

How about little mini sail boats floating in the water with guests names written on the sail?
That would be cute...if you could find them.

Or for a beach theme, little yellow rubber duckies with guests names on their backs or a tag hanging from the neck......

Or wine corks floating in the water with the tags inserted. They would have to be laminated, of course.....

Or floating water lily candles with the place card laying on top.....

I'm using mini-American flags and attaching the guest place cards to the pole. they will all be standing in a galvanized bucket of sand.

I actually had the cork idea to use as place cards for my RD..

Here are my mock-ups.. forgive the background scenery and the ripped crate & barrel card from a engagement gift!

I will be getting plain place cards with hand calligraphy from paperonidesigns.com-- they have great prices!!
