NEW BOARDS

does any one NOT like the new boards? i find it somewhat cofusing... i like the old way better,, but i do like the icons!!

I am with you. I do not like this new format AT ALL (Although the icons are pretty neat)

I am not too thrilled about the new board either. I liked the set up the old way.

Actually, I like it! I think having the post and all of the responses on one page saves time. I remember when they switched the format over once before and we all hated it for a few days because we were so used to the old board. We will all get used to this board too. BYT LIWeddings- I love the new set up and all the info you get now!

I really like the new boards. You can see all the replys at once without having to click to the next one which sometimes took forever. I thought it was so frustating that it would take me a few minutes just to go through one whole topic. Now, i just click on the topic i want and i can see everything right away. I definitely think it is an improvement.

I don't like how when you post a response, you can't change the subject. I posted a message meant for a particular person, and it's coming up under the same topic.

They are alright in my opinion. I had to create a new name b/c I had forgotten my password and there lost password button doesn't work yet!!

So, needless to say 070502 is now 07052002.. hehe

I think it takes time to get used to but I like that we can add pictures easier, and you don't have to wait for the next message to open.

I don't like it either, but at least on this I can figure out how to use the icons. I couldn't on UW.

I wish there was a way we could sort by latest topic posted. I like just seeing the new 'threads' and not the latest posts. Is there a way to do this?

I like the new set up, in that you can read all the threads at once...BUT I don't like that when someone posts a new response to a thread the whole thread jumps to the top. I get so confused with what I have and haven't read already. Is there a way to change this in your preferences

URGH and I hate that you have to log on everytime before you can post your first message. I always forget to do that....once you're logged on your ok but I usually loose my first post.

I haven't been on too much since the change but so far I like it. I love how much faster it is. I like that you can add pictures, email users, see profiles, etc. all in on place.

I think it is just going to take some getting use to. I work in computers and I know anytime we change technology people hate it at first but once they learn how to use it and see the advantages people usually come around!

I do agree with the last poster. I prefer to see the newest topics on top not the latest post. I will see if there is a way when I have time....

I agree. I dont like that when a new reponse is posted it puts the message up on top. I liked the old way with the blue messages and the red 'New' sign making it a whole new message. I like the old way better.
