LOL.. sorry I didnt mean to make anyone's head explode. This is just everything on my mind.
Chruch is Done
Dress was done a year ago on a whim...put it on burst into tears, opened a david's bridal cc and bought it
Hall is done
Photographer is done as well.

My story...like how I met my FH, how he proposed, all that stuff?? Today is my first day officially writing on these boards. Glad to know i have a place to vent, ask questions and not be judged. THANKS GIRLS!!!

FH is 110% against Tommy Tunes he contacted them and they never got back to him so that was strike one. Now everyone he's asked has said nothing but bad things about Tommy Tunes and he's turned off which leads us back to square one on DJs.

Limos - Cheap as i can get with out getting 'ghetto' Id really like me to arrive in an old fashioned car like 1934 and then a regular i guess 6-8 passenger limo preferably white.

Budget i would say between $20-$30,000

Ya know it's funny my FH asked me the other day 'Didnt you have this all planned out when you were a little girl?' No, No i didnt i was to busy playing man hunt and softball in the street...who do u think i am Monica from FRIENDS... Now i kinda wish i had

Re: New Bride here... needs help

I dont know how 'cheap' you can get with wanting a classic car and a limo. Were using All Star which is not the cheapest but they are very clean, reliable,...and FH knew someone there who gave us a good deal. But the classic car is going to jump the $$ up a bit on limos.

I didn't have anything planned either. If it were up to me, we'd be having a 30-50 person wedding. But here we are with a list of 160! Argggggg!

FH actually asked me if I had a Monica binder....sigh...I bet my sister does.

Anyways, I booked with Camelot. They seem to have a great price for what you get. We are only utilizing a car for 4.5 hours and a pickup at the end of the night for under $700. But if you add a limo in there, etc etc, I think you can still stay pretty low.

Other girls speak highly of Royalty, but I did not meet with them- so I can't speak for them.

Re: New Bride here... needs help

Well you certainly have a lot to think about but def take things one by one...we can also bump the checklist for ya and that can give you some direction...you and I have a very similar budget that can be done IF you stick to it and believe me its hard when vendors start waving all the shiny objects in your face.LOL Just stay true to what you really want and remember what's important is that your marrying the guy of your dreams and your wedding will be beautiful. WHen I first came on LI weddings I was completely overwhelmed but just by reading everyone's posts and looking at all the girls albums I slowly but surely found my directions and paths. You'll get it together...and we will all help!

first off welcome!!!

I'm a larkfield bride as well! Glad to see there's more of us out there! Which room did you book btw?

for DJ's I'm using Dr. Beat. LIW vendor, and very easy to work with.

limos- I haven't gotten around to that yet

favors- I plan on getting some mini gable boxes with a monogram label, and letting our guests take home the desserts from the viennese hour. We we're going back and forth with that idea, but we ultimately decided that with all of the food LM offers, our guests won't be able to fully enjoy the extra viennese hour. Our guests will be able to take a piece of our wedding home with them We plan on having the place cards in mini picture frames, and we have a photobooth, so that should be enough for everyone.

happy planning!!

Re: New Bride here... needs help

We're in the Garden room at LM. Considering we started with 150 people & originally had the huge dark cherry wood room b/c my FH is/was a frat boy and wanted to invite everyone he's ever met in his life. Nipped that in the butt shortly after we booked LM. I love the new room they have us in. It intimate and lighter, plus full access to the gorgeous marble patio (OMG) and we cut the guest list down.
