wow, I'm speechless. there is definitely more to it than this, since, her younger song didn't need it. I guess that if I was that desperate, I would do anything to save my daughter's life even if it meant giving up mines.:

That is very sad. It sounds like the mother really didn't understand her sons' conditions. She must have been feeling some extreme guilt for their conditions or been in some other kind of mental distress in order to kill herself for something that was not likely to work.
