Ok So this weekend I started working out with a trainer at my gym and she gave me this 'way of eating' to follow. (She hates the word diet...)
I have been following weight watchers for a while but I realized weight watchers isn'g going to help me build some muscle and lose fat. I don't need to lose weight anymore. But I do want to reshape my body so I am on a high protein diet. This plan is nuts...I have to eat like 6 meals a day. A ton of protein, veggies and almonds or avocado (which I love!) FH and I are doing it together which helps, but I am so nervous that it wont work and i will just gain weight. Have any of you followed anything like this?

This is the best way to change your body especially after you've lost the weight! Protein help build muscle and makes you feel more full. Good luck and keep at it!

you're prolly doing the same thing i want to do again.. lol... you can eat cheese and have milk.. no bread no pasta (omg that's a killer) and soda, i dont care i have seltzer water, which is like soda without the sugar... put a twist of lemon in it.. and it's good... i was allowed 8 eggs a week... and one bowl of cereal a day... (yea that's the only carb i had) but it had to be like special K or something semi good... and any kind of meat i wanted or fish.... honestly... i always carried around a bag of nuts with me... and snacked on some cheese ( different kinds) along with cold cuts.... i didnt eat 6 times.. i just ate when i was hungry... you just have to feed you hungry and you're good... awww now i'm gonna start again...

I wish i could eat cheese or cereal! I eat lots of egg whites for breakfast with veggies and almonds then i have a protein shake with veggies and almonds and then the next couple of meals involve a lean meet and the same veggies, avocado or olive oil...so basically its protein, veggie, fat.
Every third day I get to have carbohydrates like oatmeal, sweetpotatoes and all of htat yummy stuff!

Re: New Fitness plan
I normally eat about 6 times a day since sometimes I get low blood sugar if I don't. It will come easier to you once you get used to it. I just keep healthy snacks/small meal items in my drawers at work and I try to stick to a schedule, like at 10 o'clock, i will eat this, then at 1 I will eat this, etc. It makes it a little easier I think. Good luck with the rest of your 'eating plan'!!

Re: New Fitness plan
First off, you're the tiniest thing I've ever seen so I dont know why you need a trainer or a meal plan!!!
Secondly, you are awesome because after a long day at school (which you can relate to) the farthest thing from my mind is exercise! My workout consists of walking up and down four flights of stairs at school at least six times a day. I try to tell myself that since I never sit down, I'm constantly working out.
Good luck!

Re: New Fitness plan
the protein will really help build muscle. I've been eating high protein, low carb for over 3 years. I feel like I said this a million times. lol Mine is a bit more extreme though...atkins. I live on nuts, meat, cheese, veggies. I love it.

Re: New Fitness plan
I haven't had a trainer in 6 years, but she told me the same thing and my nutritionist also gave me pretty much the same advice.
Once i got into the habit, it wasn't so hard, but I found that at first I was constantly thinking of food, which made me more hungry!

I've never worked with a trainer.. but I would trust what she tells you, it's her job to get you the results you want with the right guidance..... good luck...
