I have recently joined this site although I have been browsing through for quite some time. LOL anyways me and my FI are recently engaged and plan on getting married next September. We have started the venue search however it is a little harder than expected. He is from LI and would prefer to get married there. I have contacted a few venues who do not give quotes over the phone or via email. Anyways here are the venues we are looking at:
Westbury Manor Watermill Caterers Leonards 555 Fox Hollow Woodbury Country Club Jericho Terrance
We are looking to have a small wedding of about 75-80 people but at the very max 100 people, we are also looking to keep our budget for the ceremony/reception to about 11,000 max. If you have any information on the venues above or would recommend some other places I would gladly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!!!

New Here and I need some reception venue help??
Welcome to the boards! I really don't know much about the above venues, but a lot of the Lessing's venues have all inclusive packages that are about that price, but it's for 100 people. There are also other venues on LI that have very reasonably priced all inclusive.

Welcome!!
what day/time do you want to have the wedding? if you're open to a Friday or Sunday wedding, or a day wedding then you can definitely find some venues in your price range.
I'm getting married at The Watermill. They have 2 rooms. The smaller one has a minimum of 125 people but I negotiated it down to 100. If we stick to 100 we are right at your budget, but we are having a day wedding which is cheaper. I didn't visit many venues so I don't have other quotes for you, but I know a couple of the ones you listed are more expensive than The Watermill.
You should definitely look into all inclusive venues which are usually 10,000 for 100 people

I know east wind has all inclusive, the sterling, and smithtown landing country club. I'm sure there are others but I'm drawing a blank right now

We are having about 75-80 people as well and I will say it was a challenge finding a venue. If you are looking to stick to that number, there are a couple of options.
I'd look into Three Village Inn (they have a smaller size party package), Miller Beach Surf Club (min 75 on Saturday), Captain Bill's, The Snapper Inn (min 90 on Saturday, but they were willing to work with us).
Miller Beach Surf Club has their prices listed on their site.

Westbury Manor does have smaller rooms that you can probably do with that minimum, I would check them out. Sunday day you should be able to get a good price as well. It's worth looking into, although maybe not as cost effective as the all-inclusives.

Thank you! I have looked at the all inclusive venues but I am not sure if they are for me. I may have to splurge a bit on the venues to get the one I am looking for and cut down the budget else where.

I have quotes for the Somerley, Lands End, and Chateau La mer for oct/nov 2015 but they are all based on 175 min.
East wind also has an all inclusive package, I have an email that they sent me with all the info in a PDF. if you want me to send, FM me your email

Watermill quoted around $60pp for a Friday in January. Riviera at Massapequa was the same- around $59pp for a Friday in Jan or Feb and I would have only had to guarantee 90 people. I know you mentioned September but the quotes go up from there so that gives you an idea. Winter would definitely help your budget if you aren't set on September.

Thanks for the Info! I am not sure about a winter wedding because I would prefer to have an outdoor ceremony but that gives me an idea of what to expect.

I only have a quote for Fox Hollow, which I can send you when I'm home later if you would like. Also, quite a few venues have a minimum guarantee for a Friday/Saturday night which from my experience is a little over the number of guests you are trying to stay at. Also, when we were looking at venues back in March and were pretty limited to September 2015 dates so if you're very particular to Sept ( like we were) I would try to see venues of interest ASAP. I was shocked by this.lol
The Riviera is very good for a smaller guest list and reasonably priced, have you given there a look? As far as venues the inside is my favorite of any venue we saw, but unfortunately we thought it was a little too tight for the amount of guests we are having. Good luck!

Thank you! I will definitely take any quote that you have. We are willing to do up to 100 guest but would like to keep it at 11k or less. The Riviera is on the list of the places we want to see which we have some visits scheduled on Monday to a lot of our favorites.
