We are getting married at a church in Sound Beach so we are looking for a reception hall in Suffolk. Its just easier for us, we don't want people to have to drive over an hour to get to the reception hall from the ceremony. Plus my parents live in Suffolk and that is where I grew up.
try the miller beach surf club and the miller place inn they are very close to sound beach. I am getting married at the west sayville country club in sayville - definitely worth checking out...

we looked at sunset harbour and west lake
now i dont know how big of a wedding you are having but when me and fh went to west lake we were gonna garantee them at least 75 but be advised that they will want a bigger guarantee which i dont remember what it was and there is no outside grounds to really take pics. but there is a big beutiful staircase to do that with but the room itself is absolutly georgous
sunset harbour i loved it but the only downfall that i did not care for is there is alot of gravel and dirt no grounds cause it is at the marina. but they do have a beautiful dock where all the boats are great for pics.

Check out the Old Field Club as well -- kind of off the beaten path and is gorgeous in person... too small for my group but I LOVED it.....

if your ceremony is in sound beach you should check out majestic gardens right there in rocky point beuatiful place

I also looked at Bellport and thought it was very nice. It was actually one of our top three choices. If you liked Bellport, you may also like Island Hills Country Club in Sayville. Gurney's was awesome but its a drive, lol. How many guest were you thinking of having at your wedding?

I checked out Sunset Harbor and I loved it! I ended up not booking there because I got a little more for my money at The Meadow Club and i'm a budget bride but I really did like Sunset Harbor! The people there are so friendly!
