New Here - So Stressed Out!!

Hi Ladies!!!

Hope everyone is dealing with this lovely weather that we are having.

Anyway...I am new here, I just recently got engaged, (January 9, 2014), and I am getting married on September 13, 2014. (Ignore my user name, apparently when I signed up, I forgot what year it was!)

Just a little about me: I am 32, almost 33 years old, and my fiancé is 29. My fiancé and I met on Match.com, never thought I would EVER say that, but here we are! We both knew from the second date that we were going to get married, and 6 months later, he proposed. We both were engaged once before (never married), but obviously both those relationships did not work out, hence how we ended up on Match, and found it each other. I guess the saying, everything happens for a reason is true.

We decided to have a short engagement and have a small backyard wedding in September. Since I was engaged before, I already have my dress, my Mother bought it for me for my 30th birthday. I am sure some people would say that's bad luck, but since the only person that saw me in it was my Mom, I really don't think it is. And its really the only dress I could ever imagine wearing.

Both my fiancé and I come from large families. So are 'small' backyard wedding is turning into a not so small wedding. Our venue is my fiancé's parents backyard, they have a beautiful house on the North Shore. Which is fine, but I wanted to keep it small, 100 people at the most, but that doesn't look like its happening.

But I am SO stressed out. My fiancé is driving me CRAZY! Honestly, I don't even know where to start. I have my dress, picked my invites, bridal party, bridesmaids dresses, and a theme. Notice what is missing? A freakin' guest list!

I am sure I will be posting more, but I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself!

Welcome and Congrats.

We are inviting 100 also and are sticking to it by inviting those closest to us and having a B-list.

We already know some people can't make it, so we are sending them official invites so as not to leave them out, but now some of our B-list people have been bumped up to the regular list.

We are also sending out the invites this month with a reply date of end of March, it is a bit early but there is a method to our madness. If we get them back early and there are even more guests that can't make it, we can add more of our B-list guests and send out the invites at the normal time. In this way they won't Feel like B-list guests even though they are and we can stick close to our 100 guest max.

We are also asking the reply's be sent back to us a week before we really need them as many guests look at the date of reply as a date of mailing.
