Where did you go to get your marriage license? Both my FH and I live in New Jersey and were wondering what other people did. Thanks for your help :)

We both live in NJ also...but you need to get your marriage license from the state you are getting married in...NY. We went to the town hall in Ramapo, NY (Rockland County). It was only about 20 minutes away....it was not crowded...we were in and out in half an hour.

So you don't need to get it from the county you are getting married in, just the state? That saves time!!

Yes, I knew I needed to get it in NY. Just curious as to where the closest NY town halls are. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I'm going to try to make it there. Any idea of what their hours are?
